John R. Ranck (Bob) is a Senior Consultant with The Hayes Group International, bringing over 30 years of leadership experience across the military, corporate, and non-profit sectors. He specializes in coaching executives to enhance communication, teamwork, change management, and peer relationships. With his extensive leadership background, including four command positions in the U.S. Air Force and senior roles in both for-profit and non-profit organizations, Bob is uniquely equipped to guide leaders through complex challenges and drive organizational effectiveness.
Bob’s career began in the U.S. Air Force, where he served for 31 years and retired as a Brigadier General. He commanded units in both combat and humanitarian settings, including two tours in Iraq. After transitioning to the private sector, Bob held senior leadership positions, including leading global government sales and programs at Gulfstream Aerospace. He later served as CEO of Project Orbis International, a global non-profit focused on preventing blindness. At Orbis, Bob managed operations in 18 countries, leading a team of over 330 employees and fostering partnerships with governments and organizations across Africa, Asia, and South America.
Bob holds a Bachelor’s degree from the United States Air Force Academy, along with graduate degrees from Golden Gate University and the National Defense University. He has also studied at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and completed MIT’s Seminar 21. His diverse leadership experience, combined with his expertise in coaching and strategic planning, allows him to offer valuable insights to senior leaders facing complex, global challenges.
