Margie is a Senior Consultant with The Hayes Group International, having worked and collaborated with Hayes for over 30 years. With a career spanning over 35 years in the field of performance improvement, she has worked globally with individuals and organizations across various industries and professions. Margie specializes in coaching, consulting, and facilitating leadership skill development and behavior change at the executive, senior management, and line levels. Margie also has expertise in sales and sales management implementation, having worked nationally and internationally with salespeople and their leaders in a variety of organizations.
Before joining Hayes, Margie spent 12 years with Omega Performance, where she was a member of the Executive Team responsible for overseeing the North American consulting and delivery force. In that role, she also supported international business development and operational start-up in several of the company’s field offices, particularly on the African continent. Her previous corporate roles include Senior Vice President of Organizational Development and Training at First Charter Bank (now part of Fifth Third Bank) and Vice President and Manager of Organizational Development and Training at Crestar Bank (now part of SunTrust Bank), based in Richmond and Norfolk, VA.
Margie feels privileged to have worked with people at all levels in a variety of settings and with a variety of needs. A partial listing of companies with whom she’s worked include Westinghouse, Wake Forest University, Sage Software, Parexel International, Trane, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Leonard S. Fiore Inc, Gulfstream Aerospace, HR Acuity, and numerous financial services institutions. These experiences have taught Margie the criticality of helping people know “what good looks like” no matter who or where they are, and supporting them to make their desired changes a reality.
Margie holds a B.S. in Education from Campbell University and an M.S. in Vocational/Technical Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She has also completed continuing education at the University of Michigan’s Executive Management Program and is certified in several Lominger® employee development tools, is a certified Practitioner of the Myers Briggs Type II Indicator, and is also certified in several 360 assessment instruments.
