Sylvia Good, M.S.

Sylvia is a Senior Consultant with over 25 years of experience in training and development, human resources, and career coaching. She specializes in helping individuals with career planning, personal development, and career transitions. Before joining The Hayes Group International, Sylvia spent over eight years at Lee Hecht Harrison, a global career transition and training organization, where she conducted workshops and provided one-on-one coaching to improve client performance.

Sylvia’s extensive corporate experience spans industries such as financial services, retirement planning, nuclear power, engineering, and utilities. She has worked in both large corporations like Westinghouse Electric Corporation and smaller firms such as Invesmart and Columbia Energy Services. Sylvia has a strong background in leadership development, team building, and preparing clients for interviews through mock sessions, providing constructive feedback for improvement. She also specializes in 360-degree feedback, using assessments to help individuals understand their strengths and areas for growth.

Certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Sylvia helps individuals understand personality styles to improve interpersonal interactions. She is skilled in behavioral interviewing techniques and has trained managers in areas such as problem solving, decision making, process improvement, and effective communication.

Sylvia holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from LaRoche College and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. A lifelong learner, she has developed and delivered numerous training programs focused on coaching, management practices, and leadership skills. She is a member of several professional organizations, including SHRM, ASTD, and AQP.
