Tom is a Senior Consultant with The Hayes Group International, specializing in leadership coaching, operational excellence, and business development. With over 30 years of experience in operations, lean manufacturing, and M&A, Tom has worked across a broad range of industries including manufacturing, technology, healthcare, and finance. His expertise lies in guiding senior leaders to implement innovative practices and achieve key business objectives with fiscal accountability, focusing on product development, supply chain management, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Tom has held executive leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies such as General Motors, Siemens, Tyco, and Yazaki, managing complex projects across multi-state territories. Under his leadership, a company in Georgia was named “Manufacturer of the Year” and recognized among the “Top 25” by Industry Week. As CEO/President, Tom successfully implemented cost reduction initiatives, mentored key staff, and led mergers and acquisitions integration efforts. His leadership also includes pioneering global engineering concepts and securing profitable enhancements for high-performance teams.
In his coaching role, Tom has worked with over 30 companies, including Citrix, Gulfstream Aerospace, Ingersoll Rand, and UNC Healthcare, coaching executives, senior leaders, and teams to navigate organizational challenges and drive performance. He brings deep experience working with diverse cultural teams, including American, European, and Asian executives.
Tom holds a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Youngstown State University and an Executive Management Certification from Emory University. He is also a Toastmaster and an accomplished leader in both the corporate and coaching arenas.
