Bob is a Senior Consultant with The Hayes Group International, specializing in executive coaching, leadership development, and organizational strategy. With over 30 years of experience, Bob has worked with top-tier construction firms and design companies, helping them assess staffing needs, develop strategic plans for recruitment and succession, and improve hiring practices. His coaching expertise is focused on leadership effectiveness, team alignment, and driving organizational change.
Before joining The Hayes Group, Bob was Vice President at Kimmel & Associates, where he worked extensively with ENR’s top 400 General Contractors in California and Arizona, including clients such as Opus Group, Swinerton Builders, and DPR Construction. He played a key role in shaping their recruitment and succession planning strategies, as well as optimizing their leadership pipelines. Prior to his recruitment and consulting career, Bob worked as a Human Resources and Management consultant, advising organizations like NASA and the North Carolina Department of Commerce on organizational development, employee assistance, and performance improvement.
Bob began his career as a School Psychologist and Educational Consultant before transitioning to the corporate world, where he led Duke Energy’s Performance Management Program and developed training programs for managers and supervisors. His early work in education and psychology laid the foundation for his extensive expertise in assessment, conflict resolution, and organizational development.
Bob holds a BA in Psychology from Wake Forest University and an MA in Psychology from East Carolina University, with post-graduate studies in Clinical Pastoral Education. His broad experience in strategic planning, organizational design, and leadership coaching enables him to bring valuable insights to senior leaders and organizations seeking to drive sustainable growth and high performance.
