Guy is a Senior Consultant specializing in communication effectiveness, team development, and coaching high-potential managers. With over 33 years of experience in the broadcasting industry, including 27 years in senior management, Guy brings a wealth of leadership expertise to his coaching practice. He is particularly skilled at helping leaders improve their decision-making, strategic planning, and communication skills to drive organizational success.
Throughout his career, Guy held senior leadership positions at several major network affiliates, including CBS, NBC, and FOX. He spent significant time with Liberty/Cosmos, where he served as Vice President of Operations and managed eight of the company’s 15 affiliated stations. In these roles, Guy developed and implemented company-wide strategic plans, led initiatives to acquire syndicated programming, and spearheaded the “Enabling Technologies” team, which focused on improving processes through the adoption of new technology. His experience in long-term strategic thinking and operational leadership laid the foundation for his current work as a coach and consultant.
In addition to his broadcasting career, Guy has demonstrated his leadership abilities through his service on numerous community boards and committees. He has chaired organizations such as Hands On Greenville, Caritas Health Services, and the Metro United Way in Louisville. He also served as the Festival Chairman for the Kentucky Derby Festival in 1994 and currently serves on the boards of the United Way of Greenville County and the Friends of the Greenville Zoo, among others.
Guy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, with a BS in Communication Arts. His extensive leadership experience, combined with his passion for coaching and community service, makes him a valuable resource for organizations looking to develop high-performing teams and effective leaders.
