Lou is a Senior Consultant with The Hayes Group International, bringing over 35 years of executive leadership experience in commercial banking, organizational integration, and business turnaround both in the U.S. and internationally. He has served in senior leadership roles, including Chairman and CEO, for commercial banking organizations with assets ranging from $3.0 billion to $18.0 billion and organizations with 1,000 to 9,000 employees. Lou’s career includes 18 years at PNC Bank, where he held various executive roles, including Chief Credit Officer, CEO, and President of one of PNC’s affiliate banks, and served as a member of the holding company’s executive committee.
Lou’s international experience spans 10 years, with a significant focus in the Middle East. He was Sector Head at the National Commercial Bank (NCB), the region’s largest bank, overseeing retail, private banking, and mutual fund divisions. Additionally, Lou served as CEO of the second-largest publicly traded bank in Kuwait. His consulting expertise centers on organizational and leadership assessment and development, with a particular focus on helping leaders at the executive level enhance their effectiveness in team management and relationship-building.
After retiring from commercial banking, Lou became Executive Vice President for Lending and Investment at CDF Capital, a $600 million church extension fund. He is deeply involved in volunteer work, serving with Driven to Lead, a Texas-based non-profit supporting professional men, and Hope International, a global organization providing microfinance loans in underdeveloped countries.
Lou holds a B.S. in Accounting from Clarion University and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He resides in Colleyville, TX, with his wife, Patricia.
