Nancy is a Senior Consultant with The Hayes Group International and the owner and managing partner of Seaside Retreats, LLC. With over 30 years of experience as an educator and information technology executive, Nancy has built and led organizations ranging from 10 to 250 professionals. She is an engaging coach and expert at igniting energy at both the individual and organizational levels. Passionate about fostering diverse and inclusive workplaces, Nancy models collaborative leadership that bridges generational boundaries.
Throughout her career, Nancy has developed expertise in organizational change, program development, project management, and nurturing human potential. In her previous roles as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Deputy CIO, she spearheaded digital transformation initiatives, including comprehensive technology and cybersecurity strategies, that aligned with the mission and values of the organizations she served.
As a coach, consultant, instructor, and facilitator, Nancy works with leaders at all stages of their careers. She gathers and shares individualized feedback to develop leadership skills and supports organizations in managing change, honoring their culture, and thriving in dynamic environments. Nancy’s clients include EnergyUnited, CoStar, Ingersoll Rand, Microsoft, SAS, Veolia, General Dynamics, the University of North Carolina Pembroke, Wake Forest University, and Elon University.
Nancy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Virginia Tech and a Master of Arts in Education from Wake Forest University. She has also participated in executive forums with IBM, Cisco, and Google to further enhance her learning. Additionally, she holds certifications in project management and the Executive Coaching Certification Process (ECCP).
