Walker Armstrong
Senior Consultant
Walker Armstrong has had a diverse and interesting career as an expert in personal and professional development. He has worked with both Non-Profit and For-Profit organizations in a wide variety of roles. His initial career began over 30 years ago as an ordained minister. He specialized in church planting, and today still helps pastors in sharpening organizational development and leadership skills.
In 1999 he expanded his assistance to corporations. He worked for five years at BB&T as a leadership & development instructor, corporate coach, instructional designer, organizational development consultant, and management development program class manager. In 2004 he started his own company called Integrated Leadership Solutions, LLC, a leadership development firm dedicated to “building great leaders, one person at a time.” During a span of two years he worked with Chick-fil-a, AT&T, NC Banker’s Association, Georgia Power. Baptist State Convention of NC and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
In 2006 he joined The Hayes Group International as a Senior Consultant. Over the past several years Walker worked with a wide variety of organizations such as Quintiles, International Paper, Gulfstream, Reynolds American, Volvo, Federation of State Medical Boards and Westinghouse teaching workshops, providing organizational development consultation and offering executive coaching to key leaders.
Walker is the author of a book on church health called Missing Treasures. He has also created two 360° assessment instruments on Emotional Intelligence and has most recently developed a leadership competency model for Merwyn Hayes and Mike Comer’s book Start with Humility.
